Real Numbers

                           NUMBER SYSTEMS

                                   Real Numbers

Real numbers is the combinations of Rational and Irrational Numbers.

1-Rational Numbers                                   2- Irrational Numbers

Rational Numbers

A Number which can written or express in the form of p/q where p &q are any Integers And denominator q
Example- 2/3, 0/1, 3/5, 7/1 etc.
Note-  1/0 is not a rational, because denominator is zero.

Facts of Rational Numbers

All Natural Numbers are Rational
All whole Numbers are Rational
All Integers are Rational
All Even Numbers are Rational
All Odd Numbers are Rational
All Composite Numbers are Rational
All Prime Numbers are Rational.
Some Decimal Numbers are Rational(Only terminating and repeating decimals)

Decimal Numbers

1. Terminating decimal numbers

 Example:-
a-  23.254546
b-   89.246474

2.  Non - terminating decimal numbers

a- Recurring Decimal Numbers

      These decimal have infinite digit After the decimal and Some digits are repeated at equal interval
Example:-
1.666666....
125.234234234234.....
3.14285714285..

Recurring Decimal Numbers can be Pure periodic decimals or Ultimately period decimal numbers

Pure periodic decimals

1.33333..= Pure periodic decimals
0.555555..= Pure periodic decimals

Ultimately period decimal

 34.12666..= Ultimately period decimal
 6.178888..= Ultimately period decimal

b-  Non -recurring decimal numbers

These are non -terminating, non -repeating decimal numbers.
And decimal place digits not in a specific order also found an infinite number of digits between decimal places
 Example
21.234345686856...
12.987865234324642...
67.9373726432

Irrational Numbers
A number which can not written or Express as fraction( p/q) is called Irrational Numbers.

Example:-
 Irrational Numberseullerpi
Note- All non -terminating, non -repeating decimal numbers are Irrational Numbers because we can not represent these decimals in Fraction or p/q form
